Why Do Religions Exist?
I think religion is rarely to cause for war, but the justification for war. If there was no religion, mankind would simply find another excuse for war. The Romans for example were quite tolerant of religion, and they had no real interest in spreading their faith. But that didn't stop them from expanding from Britain to Egypt.

Please be sure to give your posts an appropriate title. You've made a good argument here, but is the only reason for the existence of religion wars? What do religions provide for the people who believe in them?
